Movement II crisscrosses various musical realms with more weight given to western landscape. There is no raga involved at all and in fact the basic key E to which first violin is tuned is heard sparingly and appears only in minimal microtonal shades. The movement is built using the geometric framework around a series of melodies with first violin not hitting any note on the open strings tuned to E and B.
